1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using WordPixel ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by WordPixel Team ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

2. Definitions

  • "Service" refers to the WordPixel game and all related services provided by the Company.
  • "User" or "you" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Service.
  • "Account" refers to a registered user account on the Service.
  • "Content" refers to all pixel art, game data, text, images, and other materials available through the Service.
  • "Paid Services" refers to subscriptions, hints, artworks, and other items available for purchase.

3. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on the Service and/or sending you an email at least 7 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.

4. Account Registration

4.1 Requirements

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your login credentials confidential
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4.2 Acceptance

We reserve the right to refuse registration or terminate accounts at our discretion.

5. Account Termination

5.1 Voluntary Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting customer support. A 30-day grace period applies, during which you can cancel the deletion request.

5.2 Effect of Deletion

After the grace period:

  • Your account information and profile will be deleted
  • Your game progress and completed artworks will be removed
  • Your friend connections will be deleted
  • Purchased paid content will not be refunded

5.3 Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Abuse or exploit the Service
  • Harass other users

6. Service Description

6.1 Features

WordPixel is a word puzzle game where you create words to reveal pixel art. The Service includes:

  • Word puzzle gameplay
  • Pixel art collection
  • Explore and friend features
  • Paid content (subscriptions, hints, artworks)

6.2 Availability

We strive to provide the Service 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Technical issues or emergencies
  • Factors beyond our reasonable control

7. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes.

If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will provide at least 30 days' notice and process refunds for unused paid content as required by law.

8. Paid Services

8.1 Types

We offer the following paid services:

Hint Packages In-game hint items
Artwork Purchases Past artworks, special artworks

8.2 Pricing

Prices are displayed within the Service and may be changed with notice.

8.3 Payment Methods

Payments are processed through:

  • Apple App Store (iOS)
  • Google Play Store (Android)
  • Stripe (Web)

9. Refund Policy

9.1 Subscriptions

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds for partial billing periods

9.2 Consumable Items (Hints)

  • Refunds available within 7 days of purchase for unused items
  • No refunds for used or partially used items

9.3 Digital Content (Artworks)

  • No refunds after download or use begins
  • All sales are final unless required by law

9.4 App Store Purchases

For purchases made through app stores, the respective store's refund policy applies.

10. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false information
  • Use another person's account without permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Use cheats, exploits, automation software, or any unauthorized third-party software
  • Exploit bugs or glitches for unfair advantage
  • Interfere with other users' enjoyment of the Service
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Post or transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content
  • Infringe any third party's intellectual property rights
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

11. Intellectual Property

11.1 Ownership

All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by the Company and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

11.2 Limited License

You may share images of completed artworks for personal, non-commercial purposes (e.g., social media). You must credit WordPixel when sharing.

11.3 Restrictions

You may not:

  • Use our content for commercial purposes without permission
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
  • Create derivative works based on our content

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Service is free of viruses or harmful components
  • The results of using the Service will meet your requirements

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to your account
  • Any third-party conduct on the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

15. Dispute Resolution

15.1 Informal Resolution

15.2 United States Users

For users in the United States, disputes may be resolved through small claims court or the courts of the State of California.

15.3 International Users

For users outside the United States, disputes may be resolved in the courts of the Republic of Korea.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
